This policy explains how AVERO Engineering Consulting Ltd ("AVERO", "we") handles personal data collected through avero.uk. We are the data controller for that information under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect, and how

This website does not run a server-side application and does not store submissions itself. Both forms on the site work by opening a pre-filled message in your own email client, which you then choose to send:

• Enquiry form — your name, email address, company name, selected area of interest and message.
• Insights sign-up — your name and email address.

Because the message is composed in your email client, nothing is transmitted to us until you send it. Once you do, the content of that email is held in our business email system.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use enquiry details to respond to you and, where it leads to work, to manage the engagement. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to someone who has asked us to. For the Insights sign-up we rely on your consent, given when you send the request.

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is retained for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, unless it forms part of a client engagement, in which case it is kept for the duration of that engagement and for seven years afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Insights sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe.

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal data or share it for marketing. It is accessible to our email and IT service providers acting on our instructions. This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages; Cloudflare processes technical request data such as IP addresses in order to serve the site securely.

Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Requesting them transmits your IP address to Google. If you would prefer this not to happen, a browser extension that blocks third-party font requests will prevent it, and the site remains readable.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these, email info@avero.uk; we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

Any future version of this policy will be published on this page with a revised date above.
